Spotlight on: Steve Thomason

Born in Northampton, England, Steve is a businessman, humorist and a philanthropist.

Steve founded Humor Helping Humanity back in 2000 just after the “Patch Adams” movie came out, and made laughter a significant option in accelerating the healing process. Since that time the productions of “Great Laughter Project” events (formerly known as Red Nose Day... USA) began a ton of realizations.

Steve and associates donated over 40,000 red clown noses as FUNdraiser toys to local organizations and institutions such as Long Beach Sister Cities Association, Cal State University Long Beach, Long Beach YMCA, Long Beach Museum of Art and Long Beach Unified School District. Such projects raised several thousands of dollars for local literacy projects and other worthy causes.

Steve made one really huge realization, that these noses have absolutely no ethnic or religious agenda; they just want to have fun.

Steve is a veteran of sister city programs. He was one of the founders of first sister city partnerships between modern day Russia and the USA.
